Serbian ministers meet with Serbs from Kosovo

Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dačić and Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanović have met with representatives of the Kosovska Mitrovica District.

The recent proposal of local self-governments in Kosovo must be taken into account in the process of appointing commanders of police stations in the province, concluded the meeting in Belgrade on Wednesday.

The Union of Serb Districts, and district units in the northern part of the province, earlier demanded that police commanders of the Kosovo police (KPS) stations in those areas should be those whom the director of the KPS had earlier dismissed.

The meeting’s participants also said that EULEX should have an important role in the organization of the police command structure in the Serb communities in Kosovo and Metohija.
