EULEX starts probe on incidents in north Kosovo

EULEX Head Xavier Bout de Marnhac stated on Thursday that the EULEX mission had stepped up police patrols in north Kosovo.

He added that EULEX had opened investigations into fire at the Jarinje administrative checkpoint, murder of members of Kosovo police and other crimes committed in the last two weeks.

“This is EULEX’s priority. Violence is unacceptable and we are working to bring the perpetrators to justice,” de Marnhac stated in the talks with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle during their visit to the Jarinje administrative crossing in north Kosovo.
