Georgian discussed bilateral relations with US counterpart at UN session in New York

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili held an informal meeting with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama on the sidelines of the 66th UN General Assembly session in New York, Georgia’s presidential press service said on Thursday.

The Presidents talked during a lunch on Wednesday organized by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

“The U.S. and Georgian presidents spoke in a friendly atmosphere and discussed bilateral relations,” the Georgian press service said.
