PACE adopted resolution to support Georgia’s territorial integrity

On Wednesday, The Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly has adopted another resolution in support of Georgia by 80 votes to 16.

The document entitled “National sovereignty and statehood in modern international law – the need to clarify” was prepared by German MP Marina Schuster.

Shuster was the keynote speaker on the issue. She has criticized the Russian intervention in Georgia and reminded Moscow of the need to fulfill the obligations imposed on it by the resolution.

The document, including 12 countries, stresses the issue of territorial integrity as a separate item.
