Russia and Georgia signed agreement on Russia’s accession to WTO

Russia and Georgia signed an agreement on Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva on Wednesday.

Earlier, Russia and Georgia agreed on a compromise version of the agreement developed under the mediation of Switzerland. The document, particularly, provides placement of international observers, who will maintain control over the movement of goods, on the land border areas. The text was agreed by the parties last Saturday.
