Denmark says it supports Romania and Bulgaria on Schengen

Copenhagen hopes that a solution regarding Bulgaria and Romania’s Schengen bids will be found as quickly as possible, Danish Justice Minister Morten Boedskov has declared.

Bulgaria and Romania’s substantial efforts to cover the criteria set for a Schengen Agreement entry should be recognized, according to Boedskov.

“We will continue seeking a decision that will be accepted by everyone,” the Justice Minister stated on Wednesday. He believes that a balance should be found in the bloc between free movement and security within the Schengen zone.
