EU Commissioner Stefan Fule says Bosnia can join EU only as a single state

EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule has stated that “Bosnia-Herzegovina can only join the EU as a single state”.

Fule stated Wednesday that the year 2012 would be crucial for Bosnia-Herzegovina’s progress towards the EU.

“The EU needs to witness convincing efforts to make progress on the European agenda, beginning with the constitutional reforms,” he underlined, adding that other requests comprised tax policy regulation, good technical preparation for population census, and better coordination between entities in order to secure implementation of the reforms.
