NATO integration for Bosnia is a guarantee of peace, says Bosnia’s Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegovic

Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegovic discussed Bosnia’s objective to join the Alliance with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen earlier on Wednesday.

“The Euro-Atlantic integration process is the only realistic platform that can bring security, stability and prosperity to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s citizens. The NATO membership represents security for everybody in Bosnia-Herzegovina,” Izetbegovic said.

Izetbegovic informed the NATO ambassadors about the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and underlined the country’s desire to become an active participant in “construction of a global peace and security architecture“.
