Skopje opposition to start anti-government rallies

Social Democrats will start a series of anti-government protests from June onwards, with the purpose to increase the party morale before the local elections which are to be held in early 2013.

The protests, aimed against the government of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, who has been in power since 2006, will start on June 3 in the southeastern town of Strumica.

The rallies are expected to end with a big protest in the capital, Skopje, on September 2.
