Bulgarian military medics leave for EU mission in Mali on Wednesday

Medical team of the Military Medical Academy (MMA) which will take part in the mission of the EU for training Malian security services (EUTM Mali) will departure on March 6, the Defense Ministry press centre announced.

Outgoing Defense Minister Anyu Angelov and director of the Military Medical Academy general-major Prof. Stoyan Tonev will see off the military medics. The mission will continue for 16 months in which are envisaged four rotations of different teams. The Bulgarian medics will be in the composition of Role 1 medical services, which take care of the health of the personnel of the Staff of the operation, located in Mali capital – Bamako.
