Bulgarian fence on Turkish border facing delay

Bulgarian Defense Minister Angel Naydenov revealed Monday that the country’s plans to build a fence on part of its border with Turkey have been hit by a serious delay.

Naydenov said it is unclear when the facility will be ready, explaining that the construction has been held back by procedural delays on behalf of the Interior Ministry.

The project was expected to be formally approved on December 4 – but this is yet to happen.
