Syrian opposition not to meet govt in Geneva on Friday

The Syrian opposition will not meet in Geneva on Friday with the government delegation in view of the latter’s ” non-constructive attitude,” Louai Safi, spokesman for the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces (NCROF) said.

“There will be no meeting with the government team,” the NCROF spokesman said. “The government has taken up an utterly non-constructive attitude, and they do not conduct negotiations”.

“We shall hold a separate meeting with Lakhdar Brahimi, UN/LAS special representative on Syria. We expect to understand whether there is a possibility of headway. It will also become clear when we shall leave Geneva,” Safi said.
