EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule is starting his two-day official visit to Sarajevo on Monday.
He will be the first EU official to visit Bosnia-Herzegovina since the start of violent protests earlier this month.
EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton is also expected to travel there at the end of next week, the EU delegation in Bosnia has confirmed.
Ahead of his trip, Fule said that he was monitoring the events in Bosnia-Herzegovina with great concern, and that he was “strongly of the opinion that the time was not right for confrontations between political leaders” in that country.
