EU High Representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Catherine Ashton, will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday to discuss the situation in the country.
“I am returning to Sarajevo to meet the leaders of the institutions and civil society to hear their views about the situation in the country and how to address the concerns of the people, particularly the economic and social ones,” Ashton said.
“It is important that the leadership of Bosnia and Herzegovina responds to these concerns, and the European Union will add its support to efforts that bring real benefits to the people of BiH,” she stressed.
In Sarajevo, the EU High Representative will meet with members of the Presidency of BiH, and other government officials and the representatives of civil society organisations.
