French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius begins a two day visit to Morocco on Monday. He is to meet Moroccan leaders and discuss bi-lateral issues, trade and terrorism.
According to the French foreign ministry, Fabius hopes to stress the issue of cooperation.
He is expected to meet with his Moroccan counterpart, Salaheddine Mezouar, as well as the chief of government, Abdelilah Benkirane.
The discussion should focus on the economy, as well as the fight against terrorism.
His visit comes just a month after President François Hollande met with Morocco’s King Mohammed VI here in Paris.
Last month, France and Morocco officially ended a year of hostility by re-establishing judicial cooperation.
