Sinai is now in control of Egyptian army, spokesman says

Egyptian Army Spokesman Mohamed Samir said the situation in Sinai is 100 percent under the army’s control.
During a phone call with Egyptian TV channel 1 late Wednesday 1/7/2015, he said such terrorist groups and their supporters have shallow minds as they imagined they can take over Sinai’s Sheikh Zuwaid.
Samir underlined “the Armed Forces can never allow any force on the ground to control one inch of Sinai lands.”
He said the Armed Forces was involved in two wars ; one against terrorism and the other against the media as many electronic media sites quoted foreign sites that announced erroneous numbers of the army’s death toll.
This was meant to sag the morale of the Egyptian people and Armed Forces, the spokesman said, urging the media to wait for the official statements by the Armed Forces as they contain precise information.
Asked if any of the assailants were arrested, he said investigations are underway with detained terrorists.
