Libya releases 35 Egyptians to arrive Cairo

CAIRO: Recently released 35 Egyptian nationals, who had been held in Libya, will arrive in Cairo Thursday at noon, Youm7 reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Eight women and two children from Egypt were detained at illegal immigration shelter centers in different Libyan cities over accusations of beggary and unregistered migration.
They were all announced released Wednesday and were then transported to the Ras Ajdir Libyan-Tunisian border crossing, where they are expected to be deported back home by air, stated Egyptian Minister Aide for Expatriates’ Affairs Hesham al-Naqib.
Naqib warned against traveling to turbulent Libya, and called on Egyptian expatriates to “keep away from the dangerous places.”
On the other hand, hundreds of Egyptians and foreigners risk peril of illegal immigration to the oil-rich state on a near daily basis by crossing desert routes to reach the other side, seeking employment in the western neighbor or migration to Europe.
The conflict between Libyan Islamists and the government escalated in August 2014, pushing Egypt to ban flights to Libya and evacuated Egyptian expatriates via Tunisian territories.
