Tunisia’s National Guard and Army units killed four suspected terrorists during a preemptive security operation Monday, announced Tunisia’s Interior Ministry Tuesday.
“Anti-terrorist National Guard units took down four suspected terrorists Monday in the Ain Jaffel region, close to the Sidi Bouzid mountains,” said the Interior Ministry spokesperson, Yasser
Messbah.
Messbah stated that security agents also successfully confiscated a considerable amount of ammunition, hand-made grenades, a Kalashnikov riffle and telecommunication devices.
The Interior Ministry did not reveal in its official communique the identities nor the nationalities of the suspects.
