France’s reasserts solidarity with Tunisia in its fight against terrorism

imgFrench President François Hollande asserted “his support and solidarity” with Tunisia after the terrorist attack, Monday, in Ben Guerdane, causing deaths among civilians, security and military forces.
“The French President stands beside Tunisia which has once more been targeted for being a symbol,” according to a statement posted on the Elysée website.
He reiterated “France’s determination to carry on and boost its co-operation with Tunisia in its fight against terrorism.”
For his part, the French Foreign Minister posted on his website a statement in which he condemns the terrorist attack in Ben Guerdane.
“We reaffirm our solidarity with the authorities and people of Tunisia which has lived through an exemplary democratic transition making of it the target of terrorists,” reads the statement.
According to the French Foreign Ministry “this attack serves to reinforce the urgency of a political solution in Libya.”
