Qatar’s Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Attiyah discussed Thursday with US Secretary of Defense James Mattis the bilateral military relations between their countries, official media reported.
The two officials held discussions through a phone call by Mattis, during which Al-Attiyah informed the US official on latest situation developments in the region, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The Qatari minister expressed his country’s appreciation of the US supportive stand for stability in the region, affirming depth of cooperation between the two nations in countering terrorism and denouncing extreme radicalism.
