Security campaign | SDF storm several areas in eastern Deir Ezzor, searching for individuals suspected of “belonging and dealing with ISIS”

SOHR sources have reported that SDF stormed, this evening, the house of ex-ISIS member in Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. However, the security forces have not found the former ISIS member, so they confiscated all mobile devices in possession of the former member’s family, then they stormed the house of his relative, but they also did not found him.

Meanwhile, an SDF patrol stormed the house of a man working as a contractor in Al-Busayrah city. It is worth noting that a member of the raiding forces brandished his weapon at the wanted man’s 10-year-old child, then the patrol left the house.

On the other hand, SDF have stormed two houses in Al-Sabha village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, arresting three displaced men and another man from the village, taking them to their headquarters.

SOHR sources had said that Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out several raids in various areas in Deir Ezzor countryside pn Wednesday. SDF raided the village of Tayeb al-Fal, arresting three people, including an ex-ISIS member, for “belonging to the Islamic State”. SDF also raided the areas of Al-Azba and Muayzileh, arresting eight people, including an ex-ISIS member, for the same charge.

In addition, a displaced young man working as a blacksmith was arrested after SDF had raided a refugee camp in the village of Al-Subha, for unknown reasons.

On January 19, SOHR activists reported that the SDF’s “Anti-Terrorism Forces” arrested an ISIS commander responsible for planning assassinations and IEDs attacks targeting SDF fighters. The leader was arrested from the village of Al-Falaha in the eastern countryside of al-Hasakah, where IEDs and some individual weapons were found in his possession.

While on January 18, SOHR sources said that a military group of Syria Democratic Forces stormed, in the early hours of Monday morning, a house in the village of Al-Zarr in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, arresting the brother-in-law of a leader of the Islamic State. Observatory activists also monitored intensive deployment of military checkpoints belonging to SDF in the towns of Granij and Al-Shuhayl, east of Deir Ezzor.
