Army Commander: Iran Ready to Give Crushing Response to Enemy Threats

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s army highlighted the country’s military power, stressing that his troops, enjoying the highest level of preparedness, can confront any kind of threat powerfully.

Speaking during a visit to an army fair at the second air force base in Iran’s northwestern city of Tabriz on Thursday, Major General Salehi also pointed to the country’s self-sufficiency in manufacturing military tools and equipment.

“One of the advantages and superiorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s army over armies of other regional countries lies in its self-sufficiency in manufacturing such military tools an weapons as the various types of RADAR, surface-to-air cannons and various types of combat, training and logistic planes.

“We are promoting our achievements on a daily basis and the army today is at the highest level of preparedness to confront any kind of threat powerfully,” the Iranian army commander reiterated.
