Iran may Shut down Internet during Election

A03990243.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian government may block private access to the Internet on its election day, March 14.

A senior election official, Mohammad Javad Mahmoudi, said a shutdown would help ensure that the government – which has upgraded its Internet lines, according to the news agency ISNA – has unimpeded Internet service for the election.
