Mottaki calls “extremism” the source of regional problems

TEHRAN, Aug. 26 (ISNA)-Manouchehr Mottaki said on Monday that “extremism” in the region is the source of problems.Iran foreign minister’s remarks came at a meeting with the outgoing Pakistani ambassador Shafeqat Saeed.

Mottaki in this regard continued that the Islamic Republic of Iran wants a secure and stable Pakistan.

He underlined broad areas of cooperation between the two countries and emphasized on the expansion of equations in the field of economy.

He also said that the insecurity in the shared borders of Iran and Pakistan by traffickers is a considerable subject and Pakistani officials are expected to hand over the detained Iranian traffickers to Iran’s judiciary.

Saeed for his part said that the two neighbors must use their potentials to promote bilateral ties.
