Sri Lankan Tourism Minister to Visit Iran

A01186606.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Sri Lanka’s Tourism Minister Milinda Moragoda is slated to make an official visit to Iran later this week with a high level team of public sector officials and senior businessmen.

Moragoda is visiting Iran as the guest of Iran’s Vice-President and Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (CHHTO) Esfandyar Rahim Mashaee. He will also meet with other senior ministers and officials during his stay.

The Minister has visited Iran on several occasions over the last 18 months as part of an ongoing dialogue with the Islamic Republic. The dialogue has resulted in a significant increase in the number of Iranian tourists to Sri Lanka and people to people contact between the two countries.

Whilst in Iran, the Sri Lankan minister has also been invited to attend the 2nd International Conference for Investment Opportunities in Iran’s Tourism Industry.
