President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday introduced Kermanshah MP Abdolreza Mesri to Majlis as his nominee for the post of minister of welfare and social security.
In a letter to Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, the president said he was introducing Mesri to the Islamic Consultative Assembly as his nominee for the post of minister of welfare and social security and hoped he would obtain the required vote of confidence in accordance with Articles 87 and 133 of the Constitution.
The president on Monday accepted the resignation of Minister of Welfare and Social Security Parviz Kazemi.
Simultaneous with his acceptance of Keazemi’s resignation on Monday, President Ahmadinejad named Ali Youssefpour as caretaker of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Security.
In an order appointing Youssefpour, Ahmadinejad said he was appointing him as caretaker of the ministry taking into account his valuable executive experience and commitment.
He wished Youssefpur success in the service of Islam and the Islamic Revolution and in materializing the government’s goals of promoting justice, benevolence, service and progress for the nation.
The president also took the occasion to express his gratitude to Kazemi for his efforts in the past year.
