FM Meets Belgian Ambassador

B0176422.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Belgium’s incoming Ambassador to Tehran met with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki here on Tuesday and submitted his credentials to him.

According to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, and exchanged views about regional and international issues.

During the meeting, Mottaki voiced Iran’s preparedness to develop mutual ties in all the various grounds and use of potentials to expand the two sides’ cooperation.

Noting the significance of the Persian Gulf as an important source of energy for the world, he stated that security could be established in the Persian Gulf region through partnership of all the littoral states and without the intervention of the aliens.

For his part, Belgian Ambassador to Tehran expressed hope that during his term of mission in Iran, the two countries’ relations would develop in all the different economic, industrial, oil and investment grounds through cultural, scientific and academic exchanges.
