Serbian FM: Priština not ready for dialogue

Serbian FM Vuk Jeremić says that Serbia had developed a strategy for its dialogue with Priština, which, he said, is still not ready to start the dialogue with Belgrade.

As far as Belgrade is concerned, Jeremić said that a strategy for the talks on all issues had been developed in keeping with the state policy of Serbia and that experts in a given field, instead of officials, will conduct the talks.

“A number of problems that we will try to solve have in its root the fact that Belgrade and Priština look at the future status of the province in a completely different way. It will not be possible to solve them without discussing them. But, this fact should not be abused for internal political purposes. We sincerely want to reach compromise instead of freezing the conflict deeper,” Jeremić said.
