Following his meeting on 28 April with Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Dimitris Droutsas, Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic thanked Athens on its support to the European course of Serbia and its accession to the EU as soon as possible.
Dacic, who was on a visit to Greece, said during the meeting with Droutsas that he is sure that relations between the two countries and their peoples will always be friendly, and that Serbia and Greece will help each other whenever in need, the Serbian Government reported. Meanwhile, Dacic and Greek Minister for Citizen Protection Christos Papoutsis on 28 April agreed on mutual recognition of driving licenses.
Dacic told reporters that talks with Papoutsis focused on signing an agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses in order to make life easier for citizens.
He told a joint news conference with Papoutsis that one of the themes of the meeting was cooperation between the police forces of the two countries during tourist visits and sporting events.
An agreement should be concluded on the way the police will cooperate in maintaining public order and peace during tourist visits or sporting events, Dacic said.
