Turkey completes Baku-Tbilisi-Kars tunnel

Turkey has completed construction of a tunnel to Georgian border within Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project.

At present, the operations are underway to complete the project on the Turkish territory.

Turkey has performed 35 percent of the activities in the construction of a 76-kilometer stretch of railway along Baku-Tbilisi-Kars route, according to Turkish Transport Ministry.

A new 105-kilometer railroad branch will be constructed as a part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway: 76 km will be in Turkey, and 29 km through Georgia.
