UN mediator will ask Athens, Skopje to come out with official position on his latest proposal by the beginning of June

UN mediator in the Greek-Macedonian name issue, Matthew Nimitz, will ask Athens and Skopje come out with official position on his latest proposal by the beginning of June.

Nimitz was well-aware of the difficulty of the set task – to ask the countries rule on his proposal before the EU summit in June.

This will probably give European Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule, bigger “space” to exert pressure on Athens.
