Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and leaders in the Serb-run north of Kosovo have reached an agreement on the implementation of the EU-brokered deal.
Aleksandar Vucic, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, said that although Kosovo Serbs did not share his opinion on the deal, they had now agreed on coordination and joint actions on the EU-brokered agreement.
“Our people in Kosovo and Metohija believe in the state and we neither want nor can change our people,” Vucic said after meeting Kosovo Serbs leaders in the town of Leposavic, northern Kosovo, on Sunday.
Dragisa Milovic, the mayor of Zvecan, confirmed that an agreement on continued cooperation had been reached. “We do not have a spare state [apart from Serbia] and we have to work together,” Milovic said.
