Turkey and Moldova have agreed to speed up ties in order to create a strategic partnership and a free trade agreement, TurkishPresident Abdullah Gül said yesterday, after he met with Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti.
“We agreed to finalize talks on a free trade agreement and arrangements on forming a strategic partnership,” Gül said yesterday at a joint press conference with Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti.
The trade volume between Moldova and Turkey is around half a billion dollars, Ankara willing to double this to $1 billion.
