The UN Security Council will discuss on February 10 the latest UNMIK report on the situation in Kosovo.
The meeting will focus on the next report by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The most recent Security Council meeting regarding Kosovo was held on November 19, 2012. Ban’s report at the time stressed the success of the local elections, especially in northern Kosovo, adding that it would help consolidate peace and stability in the area and support Serbia’s and Kosovo’s EU ambitions.
“Belgrade and Priština have shown increased commitment to preventing tension on the ground, in order to enable dialogue and the implementation of existing agreements,” Ban stated in that report.
