British FM says Balkans borders will remain unchanged

British Foreign Minister says there will be no drawing of borders in the Balkans and that only a united Bosnia in its current boundaries can join the EU.

William Hague was quoted as saying in Sarajevo on Friday that any ground breaking up of Bosnia-Herzegovina will meet “strong resistance from the UK and the international community.”

He added that this belief is shared by all his colleagues in the 28 EU Member States.

“I’m a big supporter of the future accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the EU and NATO, but this will only happen if it is able to function as a state. This means that it is important that the map of Bosnia and Herzegovina is final, that people can come together to cooperate, “Hague was quoted as saying.
