Following two car bomb explosions in a parking lot outside the Iranian embassy in Baghdad, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini described the ignorant attitude of occupying troops towards such inhumane actions of terrorists as ambiguous. Hosseini further condemned the two consecutive blasts opposite the Islamic Republic embassy compound in Baghdad, a statement released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau said.
“Such dastard moves can disrupt the resolve of the two countries to deepen relations,” he underlined, adding, “Such terrorist attacks are in line with the same series of explosions which shed the blood of the innocent Iraqi people on a daily basis and aim to impair Iraq’s stability and security.”
The spokesman reminded the responsibility of the foreign forces for providing security in Iraq on the basis of the UN resolutions, and reiterated, “Ignorance and lack of action by the occupying troops and allowing suspicious elements to take such inhumane measures is ambiguous.”
Hosseini further assured that Iranian embassy and diplomats in Baghdad have not been harmed by the terrorist blasts.
