Proposed by Iranian foreign minister and approved by president, Hamid Qomi was assigned as the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Qomi has already served as deputy director of the Foreign Ministry’s African Department and caretaker of Arabian Middle-East and North African Department.
