Tunisia hails Mali peace deal

Tunisia said it is satisfied with the “peace and reconciliation deal” signed by the Malian government and parties in the conflict in the north of the country and urged other protagonists to follow suit.
Tunisia called “praiseworthy” the efforts made by Special Representative of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General and Head of the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) Mongi Hamdi and the whole team to embed stability in the country, the Foreign Ministry indicated Monday in a press release.

Tunisia also said it supports Mali’s unity and territorial integrity and exhorted all sides to reject violence and engage in dialogue in the interest of the country.
