South Sudan rebels kidnapped twelve UN contract

Twelve contractual routing equipment to the peacekeepers were abducted Monday, October 26th by hundreds of heavily armed rebels in South Sudan.
“The contract must be immediately released unharmed”, claimed Thursday, October 29 spokesman Stephane Dujarric UN. A UN official said that all were South Sudanese nationality.
“Attacks against peacekeepers may constitute a war crime,” argued Stephane Dujarric, while the group of rebels had also abducted 20 UN peacekeepers, who were later released. The abduction took place on the Nile, north of the town of Malakal, against a barge carrying fuel, weapons and equipment to the peacekeepers.
The rebels looted fuel and hold contractors to Kaka, down river. It is from this town near the Sudanese border that 20 peacekeepers were evacuated by helicopter to Malakal Thursday, said Stephane Dujarric. The UN has called the rebel leader Riek Machar to take responsibility and maintain its commitment to the United Nations for their release smoothly.
