Egypt: Five policemen killed in an attack of the Islamic State in North Sinai

imgThe Islamic state (EI) claimed the attack against a checkpoint that killed five policemen and three wounded in north Sinai on Wednesday night.
“Unidentified people opened fire on a force-El Etlawi up security in the center of the city of Al-Arish, capital of North Sinai province,” said Thursday
January 21 the Ministry of Interior in a statement. An attack that occurred on Wednesday night and left at least five dead and three wounded conscripts.
Three assailants still at large
“Sinai Province” claimed the attack in a statement posted on jihadist websites. The terrorist organization that has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State Group (EI), which has already killed hundreds of police and soldiers during attacks in northern Sinai, one of its bastions, suggests the number of three fighters , making use of light and medium weapons.
“The security services have sealed off the area and conduct search operations in the area to find the attackers and seize their weapons,” said the Interior Ministry.
