Iranians gathered on Thursday outside the British Parliament calling on the British government to respect the democratic rights of the main Iranian opposition group, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI).
The rally was attended by Lord King, who assured the protestors that their activities have brought the issue of Justice for the Mojahedin of Iran to the attention of many in the British Parliament.
“I believe, the only solution to the Iranian problem and establishment of peace and democracy in that country could be achieved by supporting the Resistance under the leadership of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi” said Lord King at the rally. He added, “Once again, I call upon the British government to remove the Mojahedin of Iran from the list of proscribed organizations.”
The Iranian’s protest in front of the British Parliament has been continuing during the past 11 weeks calling for the removal of PMOI from British government terror black list.
The government of the United Kingdom included the PMOI, which is the main opposition to Tehran’s theocratic rule, in the list of proscribed organizations in 2002 at the request of the Iranian regime.
