Iran’s Tea Exports Amount to 23,000 Tons in Spring

A0070293.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- The Islamic Republic of Iran has exported 23,100 tons of dried tea to various world countries, customs department said.

The report also said that the country’s total dried tea exports in spring were worth $25.3 mln, adding that Iran’s essence-free spring tea is exported at a law price while it is the best quality tea of the world compared with Indian and Ceylon teas which contain essence.

According to the ministry of Agricultural Jihad, Iran produces a total volume of 45 to 50 thousand tons of dried tea annually.
