Iran’s resistance and insistence on safeguarding its nuclear rights is about to start producing its fruits gradually, Ali Akbar Velayati, Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said. He told reporters here on Tuesday that certain parties to Iran’s nuclear issue have adopted a more realistic approach towards the case.
“One of the reasons underlying this more realistic approach lies in the fact that after frequent inspections, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors and officials have not witnessed any violation of the international rules and undertakings by Iran,” Velayati added.
He further reminded Iran’s permanent preparedness to attend international talks to resolve the nuclear issue and Tehran’s continued loyalty to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
The advisor to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei also stressed that Iran’s recent cooperation with the IAEA should not be viewed as a retreat from its basic, principled stances.
