Bomb attack near Syrian-Turkish border kills 1, injures 8

At least one person was killed and eight others injured on Monday when a bomb-laden bag exploded in Syria’s border town of Al-Rai, security sources said.

The bomb was left as a consignment to a shop on the busiest street of the town bordering Turkey.

Firefighters were seen trying to douse the blaze, while the surrounding shops suffered damage.

The injured were transferred to the hospital by ambulance.

Local security forces are considering the possibility that the attack was organized by the terrorist organization YPG/PKK.
