Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad inaugurated Middle-East’s biggest textile production factory in the northwestern province of Ardabil on Tuesday‘Sabalan’ Textile and Clothes Production Complex with an annual production rate of 35 mln pieces of clothes has been established on an area measuring 200,000 sq/m and is run by 5,500 workers and experts.
The stopover in Ardabil by the president took place en route to the Azerbaijan Republic, where Ahmadinejad is due to meet his Azeri counterpart Ilham Aliyev to discuss bilateral ties and exchange views about significant regional and international issues.
During the two-day visit, which will take place at the invitation of Azeri president, the two sides are also scheduled to sign several cooperation agreements.
In this trip, the Iranian president is accompanied by foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki, his senior advisor Hashemi Samareh and two parliament members
