An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale jolted the outskirts of the city of Fathabad in Iran’s southern province of Fars on Wednesday. The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 05:35 hours local time (0205 GMT).
The epicenter of the quake was located in an area measuring 52.80 degrees in longitude and 28.22 degrees in latitude.
There are yet no reports on the possible number of casualties or damage to property.
