One of the largest crowds that the town of Novi Pazar in southwest Serbia has ever seen gathered on Sunday to say farewell to Bosniak leader Muamer Zukorlic.
He died suddenly on Saturday while lecturing at the private International University of Novi Pazar, which he had established.

As a religious leader and later as a politician, but also as an entrepreneur and philanthropist, he left a unique mark in Bosniak politics and society in the Sandzak region, which straddles parts of southwestern Serbia and northern Montenegro.
