El Salvador’s President Elias Antonio Saca was in Egypt Monday in the first visit by a Salvadoran leader since Cairo cut ties with San Salvador in 1984.

CAIRO, Egypt: Police arrested 45 members of the banned Muslim Brotherhood Monday as part of Egypt’s ongoing campaign against the country’s strongest opposition group, the group and police officials said.
