US and Iranian officials will meet in Baghdad later this month to discuss issues involving Iraq, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said Thursday.

Unfortunately after three months since the five Iranian diplomats were kidnapped during a raid by the US troops on Iran’s consulate general in the northern Iraqi city of Erbil, Americans still deny the diplomatic right of the five to have a consulate meeting, an informed source told FNA.

Head of Iran-Iraq friendship association Ali Agha-Mohammadi in a meeting with the Prime Minister of the local government of Iraq’s Kurdistan, Nichervan Barezani, on Wednesday stressed the need for the restoration of calm and stability in Iraq.
