US-led coalition continue airstrikes on ISIL in Syria, Iraq

imgThe US-led coalition continued attacks targeting the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) over the period Friday through Monday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Monday. In Syria over the four days, seven airstrikes near Kobani hit many ISIL fighting positions and staging areas, while other two struck an ISIL headquarters building near Reqqah.

In Iraq within the same period, five airstrikes near Mosul destroyed an ISIL checkpoint, three Humvees, a large unit, two tactical units and a heavy weapon, the CENTCOM said.

Other 10 airstrikes hit ISIL positions, military equipment, vehicles, tactical unit, an occupied building near Baghdad, Ramadi, Tal Afar and Fallujah.
